# Prerequesites

## **1. Introduction**

*Review the prerequisites to ensure your VM meets the system requirements for Verax to work.*

## **2. System Requirements**

Verax runs on a VM with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Ensure that your VM meets the following system requirements:

- **CPU**: Minimum 4 physical cores with hyperthreading enabled (8 logical threads) or 8 physical cores.
- **Memory**: At least 32 GB RAM.
- **Storage**: 512 GB minimum database disk size (plus 30 GB minimum OS size).
