# License

## **1. Introduction**

*You must have a valid license to use Verax Protect. The license covers your individual users per Generative AI tool.*

Go to the**Settings > License** page to see your license details. This page displays:

- The time remaining on the license
- The license expiration date
- The validity of the license.
- The monthly seat usage for the license
- The default behavior for when the license seat quota is exceeded. Select **Block**to block all user requests to your Generative AI tools if the quota is exceeded. Select **Skip protection** to pass all user requests through to the Generative AI without applying any Verax Protect settings or limitations. **Note**: Selecting **Skip protection** can result in data leakage.

Select **Request license** to request a new license from Verax. Select **Upload license** file to upload a license file sent to you by Verax.
