Welcome to Verax

Next

Verax helps organizations securely adopt generative AI by providing visibility, control, and policy enforcement across all AI interactions.

As generative AI tools become embedded in everyday workflows, traditional security controls struggle to keep up. Sensitive data can be unintentionally shared, usage often happens outside approved tools, and enforcement is inconsistent or impossible to audit.

Verax is designed to address these challenges without slowing down productivity.

What Verax Does

Verax protects your organization by inspecting and controlling interactions between users and generative AI tools in real time.

With Verax, you can:

  • Discover generative AI tools used across your organization

  • Apply identity-aware access controls

  • Inspect prompts for sensitive data and policy violations

  • Enforce consistent rules across users, tools, and contexts

  • Maintain visibility and auditability over AI usage

How Verax Works

Verax sits in the traffic path between users and generative AI tools.

When a user interacts with an AI tool:

  1. Traffic is routed through Verax

  2. The request is evaluated against your configured rules

  3. Identity, tool, and optional conditions are checked

  4. The first matching rule is applied

  5. If no rules match, the default rule is enforced

This model ensures predictable, auditable enforcement for every request.

Key Concepts

Before getting started, it helps to understand a few core concepts:

  • Rules
Define whether access is allowed or blocked based on users, AI tools, and optional conditions.

  • Default Rule
A catch-all rule that applies whenever no other rules match.

  • Conditions
Optional checks, such as sensitivity detection or topic similarity, that further restrict when a rule applies.

  • Identity Provider (IdP)
Used to apply rules to specific users and groups.

Getting Started

To start using Verax, complete the initial setup:

  1. Upload and activate your license

  2. Connect your identity provider

  3. Set a default rule

  4. Redirect AI traffic to Verax

Once setup is complete, you can begin creating rules tailored to your organization’s needs.
